How do I remove my Cookies and Temporary Internet files (cache)?
If you're reading this it's likely you're having trouble logging
in to the KHSAA website, hopefully this will shed some light and resolve your
login issues.
When your cache becomes
very large, your computer’s
performance may be affected. Periodically cleaning your cache by
removing
Temporary Internet files and Cookies can help improve performance.
This page will guide you through the steps necessary to remove unwanted
cookies or temporary internet files.
- Close any open Internet browser windows.
- Open the Control Panel:
- Windows® 98, ME, and 2000 users: from the Windows taskbar, click Start,
point to Settings, and click Control Panel
- Windows® XP users: from the Windows taskbar, click Start, and then
click Control Panel. The Control Panel window looks something like this.

- Then double-click to open the Internet Options to display
the Internet Properties window.
- To remove cookies click on Delete Cookies...Above Left:
IE 6 and below; Above Right: IE 7. You
should then be prompted
with this screen:
Proceed by clicking OK.
- Now that all the cookies have been removed you can delete temporary internet
files by clicking Delete Files... on the screen shown in
step 3. You will see another prompt that looks like this:
- Proceed by clicking OK. Alternately you may opt to delete
all offline content as well. Place a check in the box to delete all offline
content.
- CONGRATULATIONS, you have learned the ways of removing temporary internet
files and cookies.
